What Is Yoga?

Yoga is the practice of using the breath and the body to draw one’s focus inward. Through this practice, we are able to find peace within the moment as it is. The word “Yoga” literally translates to “Union”. The act of joining together, and bringing into union, the body, mind, and spirit.

Yoga is a great way to unwind and relax! The benefits of yoga are plenty, including a more peaceful frame of mind, stress reduction, lowering blood pressure, stretching the muscles, lubricating the joints, anxiety and depression management, longer leaner muscles, muscle tone and strength, weight loss…. and much more.
Students of yoga learn breathing and relaxation techniques, overall improvement of balance and posture, and have an overall boost in confidence and self-love!

We promise a cozy atmosphere and a balance of learning and flow during your class. Each class starts with a centering breath, follows with about 40 minutes of yoga postures and ends with about a 15 min Savasana/ relaxation.
