Concludes with a soothing emphasis on relaxation.This powerful flow makes for a session that is both challenging and fun! Recommended for seasoned yogis, but newcomers are welcome to join us as well.
GENTLE BEGINNERS FLOW
We move at a gentle pace in this class. Sink into each stretch with time to feel. Slow down and settle in. New students will do well in this class. Come to this class to learn the basic poses, and how to connect movement to the breath. Stay in this class to embrace the slow gentle movements and enjoy a gentle pace. A combination of accessible postures and emphasis on the breath. Builds confidence, enhances overall well-being and reduces stress and tension.
MIX: GENTLE + POWER
This class helps build the foundation for a good morning practice. The gentle and soothing postures from our GentleFlow class meet the dynamic flow of our PowerfulFlow class that is sure to invigorate and soothe you at the same time.
MEDITATION + YOGA NIDRA
This class will begin with attention to the breath and settling into a peaceful meditation. We will then transition to Yoga Nidra (our signature guided relaxation) to have you really blissed out by the end.
I have been taught the technique of Yoga Nidra by Bhumi & Yogi Amrit Desai, who is the original Creator & Teacher of Traditional Yoga Nidra. By the use of breath work and body relaxation techniques, we are able to transform the body to a state of deep relaxation (which has been scientifically proven to have a positive impact on our brain waves) and allows us to create a great increase in happiness & peacefulness, while having shown signs of decreasing feelings of stress, anxiety, and depression. You are completely conscious during Yoga Nidra & are in complete control of your actions and wellbeing. Yoga Nidra is a profound vehicle in reaching true peacefulness as well as deep stillness and relaxation.
